I’m a huge coach bus enthusiast, and I always wanted a setup that looks like a coach bus dashboard. But, because of the bad economy in my country, I had to do it as cheaply as possible. That’s what I did.
I made a replica dashboard of a Temsa Maraton coach bus out of cardboard and some PVC tape for black areas. I used a small tablet keyboard and a seperate numpad keyboard for buttons.
The wheel is a Rampage V900-S (which is basically a rebadged PXN V900 for Turkish market.) with additional stalks for turn signals, lights and retarder (an additional braking system on heavy duty vehicles), as well as an additional clutch pedal which is a slightly modified sewing machine pedal.
The shifter is also DIY and made to look like the gear lever on the real-life coach.
And lastly, I use my phone for the custom made gauge cluster on Sim Dashboard and my old tablet as media player.
Note: the cost of the dashboard and other stuffs is nothing compared to the wheel, and even if I wanted to change the wheel to the cheapest sensible one, the G29, there is still an astronomical price difference. Thank you for understanding. I hope you like it:-)
