Assetto Corsa Rally: Everything You Need to Know About Kunos’ New Rally Simulator

Just recently announced, Assetto Corsa Rally is Kunos Simulazioni’s brand new upcoming rally simulator, and here is everything you need to know about it. Developed in partnership with Supernova Games Studios and published by 505 Games, the title will launch in Early Access on Steam on November 13, 2025. Built on Unreal Engine 5, it takes everything that made the Assetto Corsa franchise successful and brings it into an entirely new environment: the world of rally racing.

A True Shift from Circuits to Rally Stages

This marks a major evolution for Kunos, moving away from circuit-based racing to full rally stages with laser-scanned terrain, advanced vehicle physics, dynamic weather and lighting, and terrain conditions that affect grip and performance in real time. The attention to realism is already earning comparisons to the original Richard Burns Rally, one of the toughest and most simulation-accurate rally games ever made.

The Early Access build will feature around 33 kilometers of real roads spread across four stages in France and Wales, each captured using high-resolution scanning for surface accuracy. It also includes 10 licensed rally cars, spanning both classics and modern vehicles, such as the Mini Cooper S, Lancia Stratos, and Hyundai i20 N Rally2.

Long-Term Plans and Features

Kunos has ambitious long-term plans for Assetto Corsa Rally. The developers have confirmed that over time, players can expect more than 120 kilometers of rally stages, over 30 cars, VR support, and full multiplayer integration. A Rally School mode and more detailed career options are also in development, along with console versions likely to arrive after the Early Access phase.

Assetto Corsa Rally will also feature surface degradation, real-time weather transitions, and advanced lighting systems that take advantage of Unreal Engine 5’s global illumination. These additions aim to make each stage feel alive and unpredictable, pushing both drivers and hardware to their limits.
