Hey everyone,
I currently have CSL DD 8nm bundle (CSL Pedals). Wheel is on a Moza table clamp, pedals are on the floor against the wheel base box (so they don’t slide backwards) and an office-chair with wheel stoppers, but I’m planning to upgrade to load-cell pedals soon and with the amount of force those require, I’m pretty sure my current setup won’t hold up — the pedals already kinda slide without being load cells and the chair with wheel stoppers would probably start moving too with that amount of force.
So for now I’m thinking about a solution that still keeps my PC desk fully functional for everyday use – a half-cockpit?: basically a dedicated seat plus a sturdy baseplate for the pedals, while keeping the wheel on the desk so I can easily slide it off when doing something else on the computer.
So my questions are:
-
Would this kind of setup even work / be practical?
-
What’s the best price-to-performance solution for a seat + pedal base only that’s doable for €400–500 max (but cheaper is obviously better)?
- Is there anything better than the Simsonn Plus X or Simsonn Pro X pedals for the same price?
